New appointment at Bainbridge

Bainbridge has announced the appointment of John Parkes as Senior Account Manager.

Parkes has been working in the leisure marine industry for over 25 years. He started his career in the South West as Sales Manager for Unipart Marine and most recently has been working as Technical Account Manager for Marine Industrial.

Bainbridge’s managing director, Andrew Smith, says: “We are very pleased to have John on board.  His wealth of knowledge and experience, in both the marine industry and our product offering will give him the advantage of being able to pick up the challenge from day one,” says Bainbridge’s managing director, Andrew Smith.

“We have faced challenging times over the past 12 months, and it feels like a positive move to be hiring once again and we are eager to see what John can deliver in the coming months.”

Parkes will be working on both the chandlery side of the business as well as taking care of some of Bainbridge’s sail and cover accounts.

He comments: “I am thrilled with the opportunity Bainbridge has given me and very keen to get started as soon as restrictions allow, I plan face-to-face visits.  Until then I will have to make do with the telephone and familiarising myself with Bainbridge and laying the ground work for future visits.”
