New leisure account manager for Baltic

Baltic Safety Products has announced the appointment of Adrian Durrant as UK leisure account manager.

Based in the Hamble office on the south coast, Durrant is responsible for looking after Baltic’s existing trade customers in the UK, as well as seeking out new opportunities for the leisure range of products.

He is an active and experienced white-water kayaker, and has run both watersports and kayak stores in Dublin as well as a canoe hire centre in the Loire Valley, France.

“I am looking forward to the new challenge,” says Durrant. “Baltic is in the process of launching a number of exciting new products specifically targeting kayakers and those who SUP, I am excited to help promote all their products and in particular these given my background.”

Baltic is a Swedish company that has manufactured lifejackets since 1977.

Ian Clark, head of business for Baltic, adds: “Adrian grew up by the sea, and as a keen white-water kayaker and SUP paddler, he understands the importance of wearing a lifejacket, so will be a great asset to the company and we look forward to him working with us.”

In November, Baltic showcased its new products at the Metstrade show (METS), including a newly developed range of lifejackets for stand up paddleboarders.
