New online platform aims to simplify superyacht purchases

A new front-to-end online platform has launched, aiming to simplify the purchasing and financing of superyachts around the world.

The Compleo Superyachts platform is designed to enable customers to easily access the three main components of purchasing and ownership in one place: finance, supply and services.

According to the launch statement: ‘Compleo provides a new way to own a superyacht, channelling buyers through five simple steps: log in – view – access – visit – purchase.’

Superyacht manufacturers can use the site as a storefront for their yachts, and users will be able to search the site’s database of yachts by name, length and price. For every superyacht, users will be able to see a full description, specifications, a gallery of images and deck plans.

Once a superyacht has been selected, the user will immediately be able to enter the financing stage, with the platform providing users with access to all of the options from the biggest banks. The final stage enables acquirers to meet their vendors and to look at the design of their superyacht and options for refits.

Compleo includes a directory of superyachts, combined with direct lines to the manufacturers and access to vehicles to finance the acquisition. The platform’s range of yachts includes shadow yachts, new constructions, high-performance yachts, and sail and classic yachts.

The website has been launched by Alan Maslanka, CEO, and Albert McIlroy, sales and project director.

Maslanka says: “With Compleo, we’re busting the traditional silos and demystifying the process to create a friction-free path to superyacht ownership. By providing a guiding hand through the entire process, Compleo helps both seasoned owners and superyacht newcomers alike, but the aim is to bring a whole new generation to the market.”

Maslanka has worked as a finance and leasing consultant for large luxury assets such as yachts for 30 years. His partner McIlroy has spent the last 30 years working in the marine industry, working in roles such as owner’s representative, project manager, surveyor, consultant and chief engineer.
