Superyacht recruitment platform Yotspot has expanded into shoreside recruitment, giving marine businesses access to its community of more than 180,000 members as it broadens its offering beyond onboard crew placement.

The new Shorebased Account allows yacht management companies, brokerages, shipyards, refit facilities, and other marine businesses to recruit for roles spanning technical management, engineering, operations, finance, sales, marketing and administration.

“For years, we’ve watched talented people build exceptional careers onboard and then take that experience into yacht management, brokerage, technical services, private estates, family offices and many other roles ashore,” says Adam West, client partner at Yotspot. “The industry’s talent doesn’t disappear when people step ashore – it evolves.”

The expansion is intended to help businesses recruit experienced yacht professionals moving ashore, while also attracting candidates who have built their careers entirely on land.

Employers can advertise vacancies, search candidate profiles using filters including experience, qualifications, skills, location and availability, and manage applications through shortlists. The platform also supports video interviews and professional references.

Yotspot says its community has more than 180,000 members and that close to 30,000 roles are advertised each year. These figures cover its wider platform, which now encompasses onboard yacht jobs, shoreside maritime roles and private estate recruitment.

Founded in 2010, Yotspot has grown alongside the international superyacht sector. In 2022, the company doubled the size of its Southampton headquarters at Ocean Village Innovation Centre following a period of business growth.

Alongside its Shorebased Account, Yotspot has launched a dedicated Estate Account for private households, estates, family offices and specialist recruiters. The company says the expansion is designed to support professionals as their careers develop beyond working onboard, while giving employers access to a wider pool of candidates.
