Following its annual general meeting on 11 June, Groupe Beneteau has appointed chief financial officer (CFO) Nicolas Retailleau to its executive board, where he will serve alongside CEO Bruno Thivoyon.

Retailleau, who has held the CFO role at the French boatbuilding giant since November 2023, brings over two decades of international financial management experience. His career spans tenures at major global firms including Valeo, Galeries Lafayette, and Tarkett, with operational experience across France, Spain, Mexico, the US, and Belgium.

In his new group-level role, Retailleau will oversee the consolidation and strategic development of Beneteau’s financial, legal, and information systems functions. His mandate includes driving the deployment of management processes, compliance protocols, and internal controls.

Retailleau says: “My priority will be to strengthen our fundamentals to prepare the group for the challenges of the next ten years and give it the means to achieve its ambitions: to continue investing, innovating, and becoming more competitive.”

The group recently posted its Q1 2026 results, reporting revenues of €169.5m for the quarter.

Thivoyon, chairman of the executive board, adds: “His international experience and in-depth knowledge of our businesses are valuable assets to support our growth in a demanding market.”

Concurrently, Groupe Beneteau confirmed the departure of former Chief Executive Officer Gianguido Girotti. The company expressed its gratitude to Girotti for his 11 years of dedication to the group, which included a two-year tenure on the Executive Board.

During the AGM, Groupe Beneteau also confirmed it is to halt production at its Michigan facility and divest the Four Winns, Glastron and Scarab Jet brands, citing market conditions linked to the Middle East conflict.
