Nobel Fire Systems acquires Marine Fire Safety

Marine Fire Safety, a specialist in firefighting and lifesaving equipment for the marine industry, has been acquired by Nobel Fire Systems, a UK-based provider of fire risk suppression systems.

Mark Bresnahan, managing director at Marine Fire Safety, says: “The acquisition is an exciting time for us all here at Marine Fire Safety, as we look ahead towards future growth opportunities and expansion. Nobel Fire Systems is not only the manufacturer of the reputable K-series suppression system but is one of the world’s largest Stat-X distributors. Through their support, we will be looking to enhance both our national and international coverage. In addition, we will have access to their extensive pool of technical engineers and research and development department, as well as increased stock availability.”

Bresnahan adds: “As a business, we have spent many years building our reputation as a trusted and fully certified supplier and service provider, and we firmly believe that the amalgamation of both businesses will only strengthen our operations.”

Ian Bartle, managing director at Nobel Fire Systems, comments: “Marine Fire Safety has built itself a strong reputation for providing high-quality safety equipment to its clients, and Mark and the team have extensive technical expertise. Bringing our operations together will only help us better serve our customers. We look forward to seeing the combined businesses go from strength to strength in the years to come.”

Following the acquisition, Marine Fire Safety says it plans to explore recruitment opportunities. Mark Bresnahan will join Nobel Fire Systems’ board and management team.

The news comes after Marine Fire Safety opened a new distribution and service centre in Bodmin, Cornwall, in March 2024.

In 2023, the firm opened a new service station in Fraserburgh, following its launch in Scotland 18 months prior.

Operations at Marine Fire Safety will continue without disruption.
