Numarine launches first 22XP ‘mini expedition’ yacht

Turkish shipyard, Numarine, has launched the first unit of its new 22XP series in Istanbul. The builder is expanding its fleet of Explorer yachts by introducing the 22XP as an ‘entry-level’ model in the XP Series.

The new 22.6-metre yacht has large, angular windows like the builder’s bigger 26XP model, sizeable social areas including a main deck saloon, an open cockpit, and a spacious flybridge. The layout of the 22XP offers three or four spacious cabins, including a full-beam master suite, all of which are on the lower deck.

Numarine says the 22XP’s interior is among the most voluminous for a 70-footer, and that it is “a compact explorer that can take owners anywhere in the seas”.

“The 22XP has been a success from the very first design stages,” says Ömer Malaz, chairman of Numarine. “Five units had already been sold even before launching the first one. Having the bigger sister boat’s DNA and success, we will see many 22XP in the Mediterranean Sea in the upcoming seasons.”

The official debut of the new Numarine 22XP will be at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival, which is set for 6-11 September.
