Bulgarian powercat brand Omaya Yachts has announced Horizon Boat Sales as its new dealer for the UK.

Based in Windermere in the Lake District, Horizon Boat Sales is led by managing director Alex Barton. The collaboration coincides with the final stages of construction for the Omaya 50, the brand’s debut luxury power catamaran.

“We are absolutely delighted to become an Omaya Yachts dealer. The synergy between our brands is exceptional, and we believe that our collaboration will be fantastic. Omaya’s yachts align perfectly with our commitment to quality and excellence at Horizon Boat Sales,” says Barton. “With market trends increasingly leaning towards power catamarans, the team’s vision for developing a leading brand truly resonates with our clients, making this partnership even more exciting.”

Omaya Yachts, headquartered at the Elica Yard on the Danube in Bulgaria, designs luxury power catamarans for private and charter markets. The brand was launched by family-owned Elica Group in May 2024.

Omaya Yachts says it aims to establish itself as a leading brand in the growing power catamaran market. The brand recently appointed a new Turkish dealer and a new dealer in the US.

The Omaya 50 is a 50ft catamaran with a beam of 8.4 metres, offering over 150 sq.m. of living space across its lower and main decks and flybridge.

Two layout options are available for the lower deck. The owner version includes a master cabin spanning the port side, equipped with a double bed, sofa, desk, wardrobe, and a large ensuite featuring a toilet, bidet and standing shower. The starboard side contains two guest cabins, each with ensuite bathrooms, with the option to add up to two crew cabins and a crew bathroom.
