PBR launches The Boating News Show

Powerboat & RIB Magazine (PBR) is launching The Boating News Show today. The 30 minute weekly show will be aired on the PBRTV YouTube channel and shared across its social platforms.

The show will give viewers a weekly dose of all things boating including, what’s going on in the market place, news on newly launched products, discounts and offers available from industry leaders, mini reviews and interviews.

In addition, each episode will have a ‘Talking Topic’ around which the news items will revolve, such as getting started, boating on a budget, choosing the right propeller, difference in hull designs and wearing the right lifejacket.

“We are all very excited by the launch of the weekly PBR Boating News Show. As a magazine publisher, we understand the need to be creative and nimble in terms of our business plan and the products we launch,” says Hugo Montgomery-Swan, Editor at PBR. “In these challenging times, the need for publishers to be proactive on behalf of their readership and the industry they represent, has never been greater. The PBR Boating News Show provides us with more opportunities to shine the spotlight on innovative products, companies and individuals within the power sector of the marine world.

“Plus, of course, it complements the magazine and allows for even more journalistic and production opportunities to be explored. We are determined to keep pushing ever forward as energetically as possible.”

With the lack of international boat shows and the usual opportunities available to be able to see what’s new in the industry, could shows such as The Boating News Show be the future for mass consumer engagement, at least in the short term?
