Under the terms of a new agreement with Fairline Yachts, Propspeed’s standard foul-release coating will be used on all Volvo IPS drive system vessels in the Fairline product range, including the 45ft and 50ft Targa and all Squadron models.

“Fairlines are designed to exude sophistication and exceptional quality in every detail while providing superior on-the-water experience,” says Chris Baird, Propspeed’s CEO. “The addition of Propspeed’s award-winning foul-release coating to each vessel’s IPS drive system ensures that a Fairline boat owner can count on exceptional and lasting performance and the peace of mind that comes from knowing their investment is protected from corrosion and unwanted marine growth.”

Propspeed’s topcoat is specially formulated to prevent marine growth from bonding to metal surfaces below the waterline. Said to increase boat efficiency, reduce drag, save fuel and maintenance costs. It features a strong chemical and mechanical bond between the metal substrate, the Etching Primer and the Clear Coat – ensuring that the Propspeed coating sticks to running gear and any other underwater metals.

“We have spent considerable time and energy in the design of our Targa and Squadron models,” comments Martyn Hicks, Technical Services Director at Fairline Yachts. “Our search for the perfect solution to underwater fouling to complement the level of quality has led us to try many other products. After an exhaustive search we have supreme confidence in the reliability and durability of Propspeed and feel that it is the best option to protect the Volvo IPS system.”
