PSP announce impressive five-year expansion plans

At TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show, Frank Dixie, managing director of PSP, the UK’s fastest-growing freight forwarder, announced a raft of investment initiatives which will aim to increase the company’s turnover to £25million within five years.

Central to this five-year plan is a £1million programme of investment in four new packing and shipping offices across the south, creating 100 new jobs.   In addition to Bournemouth Aviation Park, which launched in June 2017, the planned locations for the four further packing and shipping offices include Sussex, Kent, East London and Southend, Essex.

2018 has already been a phenomenal year for PSP.   Frank Dixie confirmed a record year to date for their UK agency of the Starclass Yacht Transport Service, with Starclass ships calling at the Port of Poole eleven times to discharge yachts on the Mediterranean service.    In addition, deep sea bookings for new boats from the UK to South Africa, China, USA, South Korea, South America and the Caribbean have greatly increased.  The most recent shipment being the delivery of a RNLI lifeboat to Chile.

PSP Marine Commercial has also seen growth, with shipments to both the Caspian and Black Seas and future projects are in the pipeline for commercial tugs, barges and lifeboats.  Cross trade work continues apace with new yacht shipments from China to both the east and west coasts of the USA.

Finally, PSP has supported numerous superyachts with shipments of RIBS, tenders, jet-skis and yacht equipment being shipped via air, sea and road worldwide.

Frank Dixie said, “The last 20 years has been incredible for PSP – we are proud to have worked with, and supported, the best in the marine industry – The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race, Sunseeker, Fairline, Dee Caffari MBE, Bear Grylls and Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, to mention a few.   This is in addition to our successful seven-year sponsorship of the Southampton Boat Show and being Southampton Boat Show’s first ever sponsor.  We look forward to celebrating our 21st birthday in style”.
