Raymarine Commercial launches Pathfinder electronic chart system

Marine electronics leader Raymarine is launching the Pathfinder ECS family of commercial electronic charting systems under its Raymarine Commercial brand. 

Pathfinder ECS is a commercial-grade, electronic charting system designed to meet the requirements for a wide range of vessel applications, including commercial craft governed by the new small vessel electronic chart system (SV-ECS) standard from the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA). The new standard will be accepted from 1 July 2025 and it encompasses small vessels, fishing boats and commercial vessels up to 24 metres.  

It combines Raymarine hardware with an ECS solution engineered to simplify compliance with navigational standards and deliver safer navigation. Pathfinder ECS helps ensure operators are navigating with up-to-date electronic nautical charts (ENCs). Each Pathfinder ECS includes a ChartWorld eSync 4G/Wi-Fi electronic gateway for downloading weekly chart updates and system updates automatically.

Pathfinder ECS users can subscribe to a ChartWorld Pay-As-You-Sail service and navigate with the confidence of regular updates without complicated and time consuming ENC downloads.    

Recognising the real-world and economic implications of vessel downtime, the eSync gateway included with Pathfinder ECS systems allows Raymarine technicians to troubleshoot and update the system remotely, thus ensuring a vessel remains compliant and operational with no on-site intervention.

Commercial operators can choose two purchase paths with Pathfinder ECS. Systems are available to purchase outright starting at £6,995.00 including VAT. Alternatively, operators can choose Pathfinder ECS as a subscription service through Raymarine’s sister company, ChartWorld.
