Raymarine’s Axiom chartplotters will now support real-time route synchronisation through integration with the Orca navigation app.

Marine electronics leader Raymarine has announced that Axiom users will now be able to share a route from the Orca app to their chartplotter wirelessly. Orca’s interface provides instant routing. To use this feature, users identify their starting point and destination, and Orca’s navigational algorithms are designed to create the best route specifically for that vessel.

Axiom owners are being advised to update their units to the latest LightHouse 4 software update, available via download on the Raymarine website, to harness the Orca integration.

“The combination of the latest technologies featured in Raymarine Axiom chartplotters and Orca’s user-friendly instant routing makes planning journeys a breeze, eliminating a stressful part of preparing for time on the water,” says Michelle Hildyard, Raymarine vice president of operations. “We’re proud to consistently make boating easier and safer, allowing our customers to simply enjoy their time on the water.”

The free Orca navigation app is available for both Apple iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. Axiom route sharing integration is available on Orca version 2025.5.1 or later. Users can visit their app stores for their device to ensure they are operating the latest release. Axiom owners can take advantage of Orca compatibility by upgrading to the latest LightHouse operating system, version 4.9.366.
