Rib-X International relaunches with an expanded product range for 2026

British superyacht and SOLAS tender manufacturer Rib-X International has confirmed the relaunch of the brand with an expanded product range planned for 2026.

Rib-X was acquired by Vortec Marine in 2022 and, during that period, has focused on product development. Southampton-based Rib-X designs and manufactures its boats in the UK and supplies both recreational and professional operators.

The relaunch sets out a broader range of rigid inflatable boats, tenders and related services aimed at leisure, superyacht and defence markets.

Rib-X has refreshed and optimised its SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) range, now offering 5m, 6m, and 7m models. The 7m is an open tender featuring D-tubes, while the 5m and 6m are RIBs. The firm says the range has new hull designs and improved seating layouts, as well as upgraded electronics and upholstery.

New additions to the superyacht tender portfolio include the 4.5m Leggera, the 6.7m Phantom, the 10m Open, and the 13m T-Top, with options spanning inboard and outboard engines as well as RIB and open tender configurations.

Rib-X has also launched Revive & Refit, a new superyacht tender-specific maintenance and refit programme.

In addition, the firm says it has improved its defence range, with accreditations including JOSCAR, ISO 9001, Cyber Essentials and Lloyds Accredited manufacturing facility. The firm says these credentials position the company to pursue new defence and government contracts.

“Rib-X has always been synonymous with innovation, craftsmanship, and performance,” said Ross Collingwood. “Under Vortec Marine, we’re relaunching the brand stronger than ever, with a modernised offering that serves both leisure enthusiasts and professional operators alike.”

“It is an exciting time ahead, and our focus is on providing high-quality boats built to order rather than mass production, enabling client customisation to suit their needs and match the mothership,” said Richard Burlingham, MD at Rib-X.

Rib-X has previously developed an open SOLAS rescue tender and has supplied tenders to several large yachts. These include two SOLAS RIBs and an open tender delivered to SY Sea Eagle II.
