Ronstan launches Triggersnap snap shackles

Australia-based sailboat hardware manufacturer Ronstan has introduced its new range of Triggersnap snap shackles.

Ronstan’s Triggersnap latch mechanism allows quick and intuitive one-handed operation for attachment and release of the snap shackle. Release under load is easily accomplished by using a spike to safely actuate the trigger.

Heat-treated, investment cast 15-5PH stainless steel components offer high strength, corrosion resistance and durability. Each Ronstan Triggersnap is individually proof-load tested and stamped with a production code for traceability.

The range is available in three sizes for maximum working loads of 1,000 to 2,400kg, and with large or small swivel bail options to suit requirements. An aluminium alloy release spike (RF1322) is available as an optional accessory to assist with safe release under higher loads.
