Rooster® announced as Official Technical Clothing Partner to the 1851 Trust

Rooster are delighted to become the Official Technical Clothing Partner to the 1851 Trust.

Based in Portsmouth, the 1851 Trust is a dynamic and innovative education charity who believe in inspiring young people from all backgrounds to imagine their futures differently. The Trust offers behind-the-scenes access to the America’s Cup cutting-edge innovation and aspirational STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) role models.

“We are delighted that Rooster are partnering with us as our official technical clothing partner. Like us, they are passionate about giving more young people the opportunity to get on the water for the first time. The young people taking part in our free Go Sail and Sailwise programmes will benefit from having Rooster kit to borrow, keeping the courses easy to access for participants from all backgrounds. We are excited to work with Rooster and look forward to the partnership developing as we explore more opportunities to get young people sailing.” Ben Cartledge, CEO 1851 Trust.

The Trust harnesses the power of professional sailing to challenge perceptions and to excite more young people about the opportunities in STEM. The 1851 Trust take school groups, that wouldn’t otherwise get opportunities to go sailing, out on the water, putting their STEM knowledge into practice whilst fully enjoying the sport.

“Our relationship stems from our sharing of values in how important it is, not only to keep feeding the grass roots of our sport but more importantly create the opportunities”, commented Rooster Director, Luke Morrison, “opportunities that help young people to develop their skills in sailing and create important lifelong skills for their future.”

Rooster aims to support this initiative by supplying a range of high-performance kit to the charity, “Rooster is proud to design and manufacture quality, functional water sports products to the grassroots of our market”, ensuring that the kids are able to enjoy the full experience of sailing and being out on the water. On top of this, Rooster are providing a lifetime Team Rooster membership to
