Safety Award fund donated to the MacDermott Unit

Earlier this year, Whale received a prestigious Safety Award from Brunswick, used to acknowledge operations that consistently rank among the highest in safety performance. Along with the award, Brunswick kindly directed a donation of £2,000 towards a charity of Whale’s choice, which has been announced as the MacDermott Unit at the Ulster Hospital, which specialises in Oncology and Haematology.

Whale Managing Director, Patrick Roberts, comments: “We are delighted and honoured that the Whale team has again been recognised by Brunswick Corporation for promoting and practising safety awareness to minimise workplace incidents and injuries. The Sustained Safety Award recognises the entire team’s commitment to safety and our culture of continuous improvement. Nothing is more important in this business than the health and safety of our employees, and we will continue to strive to create a safe, efficient and positive working environment for our employees.

“On behalf of the team, I would like to thank Brunswick Corporation for their generous gift of £2,000 which has been donated to the MacDermott Unit at the Ulster Hospital, our chosen charity. One of our employees has recently received excellent care in the MacDermott unit and was delighted to present the cheque to a number of the team.”

Whale would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff in the unit for the amazing work they do, and hope this donation will go towards continuing the friendly, professional and dedicated care that they provide.
