SailGP launches ticket sales for Plymouth event

Tickets to see SailGP’s Great Britain Sail Grand Prix are now available. The third event of SailGP Season 2 takes place in Britain’s Ocean City, Plymouth, 17-18 July.

Following the season opener in Bermuda in April, with a win for Ben Ainslie’s Great Britain SailGP Team, and then the first-ever Italy Sail Grand Prix in June, SailGP will return to UK shores 17-18 July, promising high speed, high tech and high drama.

Fans in Plymouth will be able to witness some of the most incredible sail racing scenes both on and off the water and get up close to the line-up of world-class athletes and top sailing nations representing Australia, Denmark, France, Great Britain, Japan, Spain, New Zealand and the United States.

Plymouth Hoe provides a spectacular viewpoint as the foiling F50 catamarans, capable of speeds of nearly 60 mph, race within the natural amphitheatre of Plymouth Sound.

The Great Britain SailGP Team will be looking to maintain its place at the top of the leaderboard at its home event and hoping that fans will come out in style to cheer on the red, white and blue boat.

A limited number of tickets for the Great Britain Sail Grand Prix in Plymouth can be purchased online. Additional tickets will be released inline with the government covid updates.

As well as a variety of tickets, from free-access to on-water experiences, there is also a bring your own boat programme whereby free registration is required, or for £150+fees, a boat can be positioned by one of the turning gates.
