Sanlorenzo Asia Pacific (APAC) has entered a strategic partnership with Thai yachting entrepreneur Vrit Yongsakul to launch Sanlorenzo Thailand, a new company focused on the exclusive sales of Sanlorenzo and Bluegame yachts in Thailand.

The development marks an expansion of Sanlorenzo’s footprint in Southeast Asia, and follows a decade of growth in the region.

Simpson Marine, a dealership and service company with over 40 years’ experience, came under Sanlorenzo ownership in March 2024. Through this partnership with Simpson, Sanlorenzo has built operations in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, with recent additions in Sydney and Ho Chi Minh City.

Sanlorenzo APAC, now led by chief executive Daniele Lucà, has delivered more than 100 yachts across the region. Service hubs are located in Hong Kong for north Asia and Thailand for Southeast Asia. The creation of Sanlorenzo Thailand is intended to extend this network further.

Vrit Yongsakul, who will lead Sanlorenzo Thailand, has over 20 years of experience in luxury yacht sales and marine operations.

“We are delighted to welcome Vrit and his team into the Sanlorenzo family,” says Daniele Lucà, chief executive of Sanlorenzo APAC / Simpson Marine. “Vrit’s deep understanding of the Thai market, his passion for the brand, and his entrepreneurial spirit make him the ideal partner to drive the next phase of growth of Sanlorenzo and Bluegame in Thailand. This collaboration ensures that our clients in Thailand will receive the highest standards of brand experience.”

Speaking on the launch of Sanlorenzo Thailand, Vrit Yongsakul says: “I have always admired Sanlorenzo for its artistry, elegance, and bespoke design philosophy, uniquely tailored to the needs of superyacht owners with crafted made-to-measure approach, and range of innovative products. It is a privilege to represent such an iconic brand in Thailand. With the launch of Sanlorenzo Thailand, we aim to elevate the luxury yachting experience for Thai clients and strengthen the brand’s visibility in one of Asia’s most dynamic markets, with existing infrastructures, regulations, and mindset to support its growth.”

Sanlorenzo Thailand will be headquartered in Phuket, one of the leading boating hubs in APAC.

Nick Stratton, chief sales officer at Sanlorenzo APAC / Simpson Marine, adds: “Thailand continues to be host to numerous Sanlorenzo yachts and superyachts, and this new and exciting collaboration only strengthens the country as a key yachting destination in Southeast Asia, combining local experts and direct service from Sanlorenzo APAC.”

Stratton notes that the APAC strategy includes placing new yachts at strategic regional locations, including the Sanlorenzo SL96A in Jakarta, SL90A, Bluegame BG42 and BGX63 in Phuket, BGM75 in Singapore, and SD90 in Hong Kong.

Following the launch of the new company, Sanlorenzo will host a series of events across Thailand to showcase the new partnership and present the SD132, along with the SX120 and SL110A, at the Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show in autumn.
