Saxdor expands in three new European markets

Finnish boatbuilder Saxdor Yachts has expanded its partnership with Greek dealer Thrace Labea to include Bulgaria, Romania and Albania. The new agreement broadens Saxdor’s representation in southeastern Europe as the brand pursues further growth in the Balkan region.

Thrace Labea, one of Saxdor’s first appointed dealers, says it has developed a scalable business model that the company is now implementing in neighbouring markets. Local teams have been established in both Bulgaria and Romania, providing in-country support for sales and after-sales service. A local partner is also in place in Albania.

“The expansion of Thrace Labea’s responsibilities into Bulgaria, Romania and Albania reflects both exceptional performance and the growing confidence in Saxdor across the region,” says Jon Hautamäki, sales director at Saxdor Yachts. “We value our collaboration with Thrace Labea and see them as a key strategic partner in strengthening Saxdor’s presence and customer reach throughout southeastern Europe.”

Thrace Labea will manage sales and service activities across all three markets.

“We’re excited to take this next step with Saxdor,” says Nikos Zarifis, managing director at Thrace Labea. “Southeast Europe offers strong potential for growth, and we are committed to delivering the same level of service and passion for the brand that we have brought to the Greek market. Our local teams are already in place and ready to support clients with both sales and after-sales care.”

Saxdor describes the move as part of a long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in emerging markets and increase regional access to its boat range. The company has delivered more than 2,000 boats since 2020 and currently produces around 600 units per year. Its network includes 150 dealer locations across five continents.

Headquartered in Helsinki, Saxdor operates a shipyard in Elk, Poland and has recently added a 4,000 sqm production facility in Larsmo, Finland. The company also runs the Saxdor Academy, a training programme intended to support workforce development in the boatbuilding sector.
