Scanstrut appoints new design director

Outdoor marine equipment manufacturer Scanstrut has appointed Nigel Smith as design director in a newly created role.

Smith started his 30-year career with design consultancies before moving into the recreational marine industry, working for Spinlock and, more recently, Lewmar where he held the role of head of design for ten years.

Many of Smith’s products have gained patents and prestigious design awards, such as a British Design Award, a variety of DAME category wins, and numerous Pittman Innovation Awards.

They consistently design, manufacture, and deliver innovative products, beautifully presented and backed-up by an agile, young, and dynamic team, I’m very excited to see what we can achieve together.”
