Scanstrut Ventura Series receives Red Dot Award
Ventura Series units integrate power and utility connections in a compact housing
Scanstrut’s Ventura Series of compact, waterproof utility sockets has received the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026.
The Red Dot Design Awards, established in Germany in 1955, are a prestigious international design competition. Entries are assessed by an independent panel based on criteria including innovation, functionality, durability and longevity.
The Ventura Series was recognised by the Red Dot jury for its design quality. It combines engineered components with integrated functionality, presented within a consistent exterior design. The range includes exterior utility connections such as 12V power, USB-C charging, solar input, water, TV and mains connections, all contained within a compact housing. The range is suitable for RVs, motorhomes and overlanding vehicles.
Key features of the Ventura Series include IP68 and IP69K waterproof protection, designed to prevent ingress from dust, rain and high-pressure washdowns. The units use a spring-loaded lid with a click-shut mechanism and a 90° hold position, alongside marine-grade 316 stainless steel hardware intended to resist corrosion. Materials are UV-resistant and suited to extended outdoor exposure, while standardised cut-out dimensions support installation and production processes.
The Ventura Series has also received the iF Design Award 2026, and was awarded first place in the Equipment Design category at the European Innovation Awards 2026, presented at CMT Stuttgart.
