Schenker Watermaker to be controlled via chartplotter

Schenker is launching a chartplotter/watermaker interface system that allows owners to manage and monitor the Schenker watermaker from the dashboard in September 2025.
Compatible with all major global manufacturers of onboard electronic equipment, the new Schenker Watermaker’s interface integrates the watermaker with onboard systems.
With this new system, traditional multifunction displays (MFDs) are integrated with a proprietary application that offers new services and centralised, immediate control of the watermaker installed on the boat. This facilitates simple and interactive management of the watermaker.

The new interface can be retrofitted to all latest-generation chartplotters compatible with HTML5 applications from brands including Simrad, B&G, Lowrance, Garmin and Raymarine.
In April 2025, Schenker Watermakers introduced the Zen Twin 200 and 300 models, designed to produce fresh water at high efficiency and with adaptable installation options.
Chartplotter and watermaker interface
Schenker Watermakers says the compact and easy-to-install system communicates between the Schenker control unit and the multifunction display on the bridge. The interface interacts with the Schenker control box via RS485 protocol, while the connection between the interface and the multifunction display is via ethernet.
The traditional ‘Touch’ remote panel sold with Schenker watermakers is still available and is generally installed near the watermaker in order to conveniently perform all maintenance operations ‘on site’.
