Seldén Mast expands sales team in the UK
Following a seven-year hiatus, Seldén Mast has welcomed back Richard Thoroughgood to its sales team for the third time, expanding its sales team in the UK.
Re-joining the Gosport based company in the role of sales account manager, Richard will be responsible for sales and customer service to existing yacht and dinghy sales accounts as well as identifying new routes to market for Seldén’s expanding range of rigging, sail handling and deck hardware products.
In addition, Richard will be involved in spar and boat package specification for OEMs as well as product design, testing and production planning.
Starting in the marine industry in 1999 with the Marine Force chandlery group before spending several years teaching sailing both in the UK and aboard, Richard returns to Seldén following his most recent role as workshop manager at Marine Matters in Warsash, Hampshire.
“Richard brings over 20 years of marine industry experience and product knowledge, across a wide range of different boats and different sailing disciplines,” says Sam Vaughan, head of sales at Seldén. “With his excellent knowledge of Seldén and its products from his previous tenures with us, we are extremely confident that he will be an outstanding asset to our growing team.”
