Silent Yachts expands fleet with new SY80 models

Austrian owned boatbuilder Silent Yachts has launched its largest to date, the SY80 solar-electric catamaran. The 24.4-metre flagship yacht is now preparing for its official debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025, taking place from 9 to 14 September.
Built at Silent Yachts’ facility in Fano, Italy, the SY80 continues the shipyard’s focus on solar-electric propulsion, with a battery capacity of up to 696 kWh and a solar array generating 22.4 kWp. The yacht has a claimed cruising speed of 7–8 knots and a maximum speed of 12 knots, with near-silent, low-emission operation.

Silent Yachts has also confirmed that two additional SY80 catamarans, both 3-Deck versions, have been sold and are under construction.
The SY80 is available in three configurations: 2-Deck, 3-Deck Open and 3-Deck Closed versions. All layouts are fully customisable to suit an owner’s specific requirements.

The first unit to be completed is a 2-Deck model, custom-built for a private client. It features four guest cabins, including a master suite and a VIP suite, a dedicated helm station, and a large upper deck with sunbeds. Social areas on the main deck include a panoramic saloon, lounge seating, and a bar. Storage has also been incorporated into both hulls, with an enclosed tender garage to port and a separate space to starboard for water toys and equipment.
