Sublift appoints Eyemouth Marine as UK distributor

Sublift has appointed Eyemouth Marine Limited as its exclusive distributor and service partner for the UK and Ireland, covering equipment sales, servicing, spare parts and technical support.

The agreement was signed in Simrishamn, Sweden, by Björn Andersson, VD/CEO of Simrishamns Varv AB, and Neil Harrison, managing director of Eyemouth Marine.

Based at Eyemouth Harbour in the Scottish Borders, Eyemouth Marine operates a 50-tonne Sublift as part of its vessel-handling operations.

Neil Harrison, managing director of Eyemouth Marine Limited, says: “We have worked with Sublift equipment in our own yard for many years, so we know the machines, their capabilities and the importance of dependable aftersales support.

“This agreement means customers across the UK and Ireland will have a dedicated point of contact for new equipment, servicing, technical support and spare parts.

“We’re looking forward to working closely with Sublift and supporting both existing owners and new customers across the market.”

Sublift has manufactured self-propelled, submersible boat hoists since the late 1980s. Its current range includes standard lifting capacities of 12, 25, 50 and 90 tonnes, along with customised machines for military and other specific applications.

The equipment is designed to launch, recover and move vessels using a slipway. It is used by marinas, boatyards and commercial operators to handle sailing yachts, motorboats and commercial vessels for maintenance, repair and storage.

Sublift operates in markets across Europe and internationally, including Australia, Malaysia and Mexico. The company is part of the Simrishamn Varv group, based in Simrishamn, Sweden.

Eyemouth Marine will formally introduce the partnership and Sublift range at the British Marine Scotland Membership Information and Networking Day and AGM at the Lodge on Loch Lomond in Luss on 28 October 2026.
