Island Global Yachting (IGY) has expanded its network to 22 marinas with the addition of IGY Portisco Marina (formerly Marina di Portisco), in Sardinia, Italy.

Situated between Porto Cervo and Olbia, in the Gulf of Cugnana, IGY Portisco Marina boasts 589 berths with 41 superyacht berths and the ability to accommodate vessels up to 90 meters.

“We are absolutely delighted to further promote Italy as a leading yachting destination through the addition of Marina di Portisco to the IGY portfolio,” says Kenny Jones, IGY’s EVP of operations. “Aligned with IGY’s continued global growth strategy, our comprehensive services and uniquely packaged dockage products make all aspects of yachting easier and more efficient anywhere in the world for the owner and the amazing people in the superyacht industry.”

IGY Portisco Marina’s layout features on-site services, shops and restaurants, a refit facility, yacht provisioning, 24-hour security, and a fuel service managed by Transport S.A.S.

IGY was advised by Morri Rossetti e Associati and Transport S.A.S. was advised by Ashurst LLP. IGY and Transport S.A.S. were also advised by Sistema Iniziative Locali SpA (Sinloc).

In another move, IGY has also acquired Fairport Yacht Support, a leading yacht management company providing an array of essential asset management services for yacht owners, and has officially launched IGY Trident – a global yacht management and destination membership programme.

Together with Fairport, IGY’s suite of services includes yacht financial administration, crew management, operations and technical oversight, safety, security and regulatory compliance services, insurance administration, and health and wellness solutions, in addition to global dockage, fuel and concierge services. Fairport will remain under the leadership of Graeme Lord, who founded Fairport in 2011 and will continue to be a significant shareholder.

“The IGY team is thrilled to be working with Fairport to deliver a significantly expanded scope of services that enhance the yacht ownership experience,” stated Tom Mukamal, IGY’s CEO.

“We are impressed by Fairport’s deep and longstanding client relationships with so many of the world’s top superyachts,” says Evan Wien, IGY’s vice president of corporate development. “Fairport’s mission is to make yacht ownership safe, easy and fun, which aligns perfectly with our objective to provide the best possible marina experience across our 22 destinations worldwide.”

“Together we are redefining the yacht ownership experience,” says Graeme Lord. “By aligning with IGY we are able to support our superyacht clients with worldwide touchpoints across IGY’s five-star service level marina network and provide preferential access to dockage, fuel and concierge services, as well as several innovative benefits we are working on together. Our goal is to be the one-stop shop serving owners to enjoy their yacht to the fullest.”

IGY’s new Trident membership programme will roll out in the coming months. According to IGY, Trident members will enjoy a wide range of exclusive benefits covering global dockage, fuel bunkering, yacht management, crew placement and training, insurance, health and wellness, private aviation, and lifestyle events and experiences.
