A pair of popular sailing YouTubers have celebrated a new collaboration with French marine engine manufacturer Nanni. The new partnership was unveiled at the Annapolis Sailboat Show, which ran from 10-14 October 2024.

The Sailing SV Delos YouTube channel, known for its globetrotting adventures, follows the adventures of husband-and-wife couple Brian and Karine Trautman. They have documented their journey and passion for sailing, covering over 85,000 nautical miles spanning six continents onboard their 53-foot Amel sailing ketch SV Delos, becoming one of the platform’s most popular sailing channels.

Nanni’s US distributor, Kraft Power Corporation, is also part of the project, representing Nanni and providing technical expertise and support for energy and engine solutions.

The Trautmans are currently undertaking a new project: building a custom aluminium expedition catamaran named Delos 2.0. The new Delos Explorer 53 will replace their current monohull, and is being built by Stradbroke Yachts in Brisbane as a long-term cruising vessel.

Following Nanni’s sponsorship, the new catamaran will be powered by a Nanni hybrid propulsion system. The setup will combine a Nanni N4.80 engine with a 25kW electric motor.

Alongside this new partnership with Nanni, the couple also recently teamed up with Dutch equipment distributor and manufacturer Vetus. The new Delos 2.0 will receive a selection of Vetus solutions and products, including components for the propulsion system.
