The Moorings adds new catamaran and charter destination to its roster

Luxury yacht charter company The Moorings is introducing a new five-cabin sailing catamaran from Robertson and Carise to its international fleet and is relaunching La Paz, Mexico, as a charter destination.

The new Moorings 4600 was announced at Southampton International Boat Show 2024 and is available for bookings in the British Virgin Islands, St Martin, and St Lucia. Also during the show, Sunsail and The Moorings won the Sustainability Award, in a large part thanks to the companies’ sustainability achievements realised under their joint ‘Our Ocean Promise’ initiative, which they launched in 2022.

Now the international charter company has also announced the addition of La Paz, Mexico, to its bareboat and skipper destination portfolio, with sail and power catamarans available to book now for winter 2024 departures.

“We are delighted to be adding La Paz to The Moorings’ portfolio of luxury sailing destinations,” says Ian Pederson, senior marketing manager at The Moorings. “Driven largely by customer feedback, this new destination promises to be a firm favourite with its serene waters, diverse marine life, and stunning landscapes, offering an unparalleled charter experience to guests of every experience level. La Paz is the ideal destination for powerboaters and sailors alike to slow down and reconnect with nature in its purest form.”

With five cabins – comprising three guest cabins, a VIP cabin, and a fifth bunkbed cabin – the Moorings 4600 can accommodate 11 passengers and features an expansive cockpit, walk-through salon, foredeck, and flybridge lounge provide ample room for entertaining guests or simply soaking up the sun.

According to The Moorings, the catamaran’s intuitive controls and advanced technology make it easy for both seasoned sailors and newcomers to navigate the water with confidence. Its stability and manoeuvrability ensure a smooth and comfortable ride, even in challenging conditions.

Established in 1969, The Moorings began with six yachts and has now expanded to cover over 20 destinations from the Caribbean and Thailand to Croatia and Greece, offering the choice of over 400 sail, power, or crewed yacht charters.
