TYHA to deliver Code of Practice roadshow on marina planning and operations

Inland and Coastal sponsors TYHA Code of Practice roadshow The 2026 TYHA Code of Practice roadshow includes 11 events

The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) plans to deliver a series of events across the UK and Ireland ahead of the anticipated release of the revised TYHA Code of Practice. The programme is designed to outline and promote updates to the guidance used for marina planning, design and operational management.

The 2026 programme will comprise 11 events across the UK and Ireland, all of which are sponsored by Inland and Coastal, alongside Haven Knox Johnston, MHPS and Dura Composites. One of the sessions will take place at Inland and Coastal’s headquarters in Banagher, Ireland.

TYHA represents marina operators, boatyards and marine businesses in the UK and internationally. Its Code of Practice provides guidance on marina planning, operational procedures and infrastructure standards, and is used by operators as a reference framework for marina management.

The forthcoming eighth edition of the TYHA Code of Practice has been developed in partnership with Marina Projects. The revision follows consultation with TYHA members and incorporates elements from international standards and regulatory frameworks.

The updated publication is organised into four volumes covering Planning & Design, Marina Operations, Boatyard and Superyacht. According to TYHA, this approach ensures the guidance remains relevant to marinas of all sizes and types, addressing evolving operational standards, environmental responsibilities and customer expectations.

The roadshow programme is primarily aimed at TYHA members and marina operators. The events will provide an overview of the revised Code of Practice and its intended application, while also providing a forum for discussion among industry participants.
