Rapid Marine to introduce Uniflex Chocks at Metstrade 2026
UK-based Rapid Marine, which designs and supplies accessories for yacht tenders and jet skis, will introduce its Uniflex Chocks for storing tenders and personal watercraft at Metstrade 2026 in Amsterdam.
Users can adjust the chock positions in both length and width to suit different hull shapes, tender sizes and deck layouts. The system will come in iroko timber and composite versions. Both use a new twist-and-lock mechanism, with a pivoting handle that secures each chock into a deck fitting. Once the tender is launched, users can remove the chocks to clear the deck, leaving the fittings flush with its surface.
The composite version is designed as a lightweight option for small RIBs, dinghies and jet tenders. It also allows the system to be used in some installations where deck space or platform dimensions may have ruled out the company’s Universal Chocks.
The firm says customer feedback helped shape the Uniflex design. Some owners wanted to secure their chocks to the deck, while Rapid Marine also saw customers adapting existing installations to position their tenders lower.
Mike Evers, managing director of Rapid Marine, says: “The Uniflex Chocks are a good example of how we develop products. We listen to the people using our equipment, look at how they’re adapting it onboard and ask how we can make their job easier.”
The product builds on the company’s removable Universal Chocks, introduced at Metstrade in 2021 and recognised by the DAME Design Awards judges. These support tenders and personal watercraft on board and can be removed when not in use.
Visitors can see the Uniflex Chocks on Rapid Marine’s stand, 01.580, at Metstrade 2026. The product is expected to go on sale in early spring 2027.
