Videoworks showcases how generative AI can drive personalised entertainment

Videoworks has highlighted the potential of generative AI during the recent 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, demonstrating how the technology can shape onboard yacht entertainment.
At a press event on Friday (September 26) – the penultimate day of the annual four-day show – industry experts discussed the capabilities and applications of AI in creating personalised video and audio content. A central feature of the Videoworks Monaco exhibit was an AI-powered demonstration, allowing visitors to transform their Spotify listening history into a bespoke multimedia experience on a 4K LED display.
According to Maurizio Miossi, CEO of Videoworks, the system generates tailored content within seconds. Miossi explains: “Visitors see content shaped by their own musical tastes and personality, illustrating how AI can turn entertainment into something personal and unique.”
The event included insights from Professor Tiberio Uricchio of the University of Pisa, an expert in generative AI. He says: “Generative AI is bridging this gap: now machines can transform your music playlist into a personalised video experience, turning data into visual stories. This is not just technology, it’s a new language for creating deeply personal content.”
Eduardo Scognamiglio, a video production specialist with experience at RAI and Mediaset, was also in attendance and expressed the potential of AI, which is already being used in the movie and advertising industries. “We thought AI would help us automate repetitive tasks, but instead, it’s disrupting the most human of all activities: creativity itself,” says Scognamiglio.
Scognamiglio adds: “The future will bring total democratisation. Just as YouTube allowed millions of people to have an audience, AI will enable anyone to create cinema-quality films. Extreme personalisation will be the next step: content created specifically for each viewer.”
In addition to the AI discussions and demonstrations, Videoworks showcased solutions for uninterrupted onboard connectivity, including IPTV and professional internet systems that integrate multiple networks such as Starlink, OneWeb, future Amazon satellites and 5G.
The firm emphasises designing connectivity into yacht architecture from the beginning to provide seamless access without relying on a single provider. At the start of this year MIN sat down with Videoworks’ Paolo Tagliapietra to explore the company’s streaming services.
Videoworks also highlighted its approach to onboard security, presenting integrated systems that combine LiDAR sensors, smart cameras and floor sensors to monitor movement. These components are controlled through a single software interface, allowing modular configuration tailored to each yacht’s layout and the owner’s requirements.
Collaborators on the display at the Monaco Yacht Show included Leyard (4K LED screens), K-Array (immersive audio systems) and NoNoise (generative AI content production).
Minossi concludes: “At Videoworks, we see technology not as an add-on, but as an integral part of yacht design and onboard life. From AV-IT to advanced security or generative AI, our mission is to create systems that are easy to use and make guests more comfortable, while keeping everyone on board connected and secure .”
