Wave International names new Balkan distributor
Torden Marine has been named as the new distributor for British manufacturer Wave International in Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro.
Operating from offices in Slovenia and Croatia, Torden Marine supplies marine products and services to both the commercial and leisure sectors. It operates a Croatian warehouse that supports delivery across the region. In addition to direct representation at events such as the Belgrade Boat Show, Torden Marine works with local agents in Montenegro and Serbia to provide in-country support.
“Torden Marine was the natural choice of distributor to work with Wave International, covering the diverse market opportunities within Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Montenegro,” says Wave International’s sales and marketing manager Mark Luffingham. “They already represent a number of world-leading brands and have an outstanding reputation for excellent support and service. Torden understand the needs of the marketplace in each country.
“In Montenegro, for example, there is a sizeable mega yacht market, whilst in Serbia the demand is more focused on eliminating pollution from river boats operating on the Danube river. Croatia, with an extensive charter fleet, is a country which is taking its responsibility regarding preventing marine pollution seriously, understanding the need to protect its waters and coastline as a tourist and holiday destination, as well as for those commercial and work boats in the region.”
Torden Marine will distribute products including the Wavestream bilge filters, intended for both leisure yachts and workboats, and the Wavebrite Smart and IMO-approved Wave Miniboss. “We specialise in filter products which are designed to fit all sizes of vessels and help ensure cleaner oceans and waterways, an important factor anywhere in the world,” Luffingham continues.
