New MP Series 87 circuit breaker from Wesgarde
Wesgarde, a national distributor of electromechanical and electronic power components, has introduced its MP Series 87, a heavy-duty marine-rated circuit breaker. The new breaker has been designed for use in marine, vehicle and industrial applications.
With flexibility and versatility in mind, the MP Series 87 features a switchable high-amp design with a manual reset and On-Off functionality, enabling rapid and safe circuit isolation during maintenance or emergencies.
Covering a broad range from 25 to 250 amps, the circuit breaker is suitable for a wide array of power applications, making it an ideal option for OEMs and retrofit engineers.
Installation is simple, thanks to a panel or surface mount design, with dual terminal stud sizes that accommodate larger wires while reducing the risk of wiring errors.
The firm also highlights that safety has been a key consideration, with the breaker’s ignition protection meeting SAE J1171 standards, ABYC-compliant and carries an IP66 rating, safeguarding against water intrusion, making it suitable for boats and outdoor equipment.
The circuit breaker features a double set of contacts and increased copper and silver content, which support demanding loads and extend the product’s lifespan.
The use of cadmium-free materials means the breaker meets environmental compliance standards and is designed to withstand harsh conditions, including vibration, shock, salt spray and high humidity.
