West Nautical names European sales director

West Nautical has appointed Simon Gibson as European sales director, with responsibility for leading the company’s Monaco team at its newly established office.

UK-based West Nautical is a full-service superyacht company providing services including sales, charter, yacht management and crew recruitment. It opened its Monaco office in July 2025, after expanding to Dubai in 2024.

Gibson has more than 30 years of experience in the maritime sector. He began his career as a sailing instructor and went on to work in professional racing and global cruising. He later built a career in yacht brokerage, where he has been involved in the delivery of yachts of up to 75m.

He has also developed expertise in new build construction projects and has experience in managing the full process of yacht purchase and sale. In his new role, Gibson will lead the development of West Nautical’s Monaco team and contribute to the company’s regional growth strategy.
