Yamaha updates outboard range

Yamaha has expanded its outboard model range with an eye on the smaller boat market. Yamaha’s new B 6hp is available with an enhanced tiller handle, or with a remote helm and throttle for console boats, while new options and features on the 25hp, 15hp and high-thrust T 9.9hp include power trim and tilt, electric start and remote throttle.

The Yamaha 25hp is now available with power trim and tilt, even on short shaft models. Ideal for boaters operating in shallow waters or recovering the boat to a trailer regularly, it offers users push-button trim adjustment and full power tilt. Operated by an electric switch, owners can adjust the angle and draught of the engine to avoid damaging the skeg or reach optimal efficiency when on the plane from the helm control.

More options are also available in the Yamaha 15hp range, including an electric start model with power tilt, all controlled from a tiller handle. Available in short shaft, a newly introduced electric start unit with power tilt controlled from a remote throttle and helm to complement the existing long shaft model.

The Yamaha T 9.9hp model now features an electric ignition, power tilt and an extra-long shaft, ideal for keel boats and smaller sailing vessels that require outboard power. With an optional remote-control box, the unit can be controlled from the boat’s cockpit.

Yamaha Motor Europe has signed a three-year original equipment manufacturer agreement for rigging installation with Lomac Nautica and Zodiac Nautic RIB brands.

Italy-based Lomac Nautica produces a variety of models in six different series, from the 14 metre GranTurismo 14.0 powered by twin XTO 425hp V8s or Triple 300hp V6s to the 130hp Euforia 580.
