Australia’s Zhik launches new range

Australian-based apparel brand, Zhik, has launched its new Elite Gloves and Deck Gloves.

Both ranges feature the new gecko-style silicone pad which Zhik says enhances grip on wet decks, spars and guard rails, while the addition of a finger tab makes removing wet gloves easier.

Available in long and short-finger models, Zhik’s new Elite Glove range is made with a durable Amara fabric. The palm and finger panels are coated with abrasion-resistant elite PU to reduce wear and tear, and moulded impact protection is designed to prevent knocks to the back of the hand.

Featuring 3D ergonomic styling for easier flexing, grip and an excellent fit, the gloves have a low-profile, stretch wristband. The company says this gives uninhibited wrist flexion and avoids overlap with outer cuffs, mid-layers and watch straps.

The high-grip gloves use reinforced Kevlar stitching and low-profile seams between the fingers and joints. There is double reinforced panelling in high-wear areas, and perforated panels allow airflow and fast drainage. A middle finger tab enables wet gloves to be quickly removed.

Elite and Deck Gloves

Developed for cruising, dinghy sailing and watersports enthusiasts, Zhik’s new Deck Gloves are also made with a highly durable Amara fabric and feature the Gecko-style silicone palm pad.

Fast drying, the high-stretch outer panelling for easy hand flexion is perforated for increased airflow. Heavy-duty stitching and double-reinforced panelling are said to add protection and durability.

Like the Elite Gloves, these Deck Gloves also feature low-profile wrist panels and a middle finger tab.

Elite and Deck Gloves come in sizes XS to XXL. RRP for the Elite Gloves is £44.95 (€49.95) and £34.95 (€39.95) for the Deck Gloves.
