Actisense wins NMEA Manufacturer of the Year Award

Actisense win NMEA 2023

Marine electronics specialist Actisense has been named Manufacturer of the Year at the 2023 National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) Conference and Expo’s Product of Excellence Awards.

This is the second year running that Dorset-based Actisense has taken home this award in the level 1 & 2 (small to mid-size company) category.

“Because these awards are voted for by our industry peers in the NMEA membership, it means so much to us,” says Actisense CEO Phil Whitehurst. “It really validates the hard work done by our whole team to support the industry with reliable and innovative solutions.

“Part of this award is about how our products are supported in the field, and we are blessed to work with a network of amazing, technically proficient partners around the globe, who ensure that our products are solving as many key connectivity challenges as possible. To win this award for a second year in a row is just awesome.”

A previous recipient of the Product of Excellence Award at the NMEA Awards, Actisense has over 25 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing specialist NMEA connectivity and data management solutions. The company’s most recent innovations include a new range of Type Approved buffers and multiplexers designed for the commercial marine market.

Earlier this year, MIN reported that Actisense had restructured its senior leadership team, ostensibly to guide the next phase of its growth strategy. The firm says it is targeting growth in several new potential markets, including transportation and agritech, as its team grows in headcount, now employing over 35 people directly.
