Approved Boats moves to MDL’s Shamrock Quay

Approved Boats has relocated its operations to Shamrock Quay in Southampton. This move within the MDL Marinas network, from Hamble Point, offers enhanced visibility with a dedicated outdoor display area for showcasing boats.
Approved Boats’ new 600 sq ft office is right next to the iconic Yellow Welly and is now actively trading. The prominent brokerage showcases the company’s lineup including models from Fairline (for which it offers a VIP experience), Absolute and Aquila.
“We’re delighted to have Approved Boats join the Shamrock Quay community,” says Barry Radband, manager at the marina. “Their presence adds another dimension to the growing marina businesses here and complements the recent arrivals of Paintworld Ltd, Aquamarine Hamble, Lateral and the expansion of US Creative.”
David O’Rourke, MD at Approved Boats says staying within the MDL family was important to the company. “This new location provides the perfect setting to grow our presence, better serve our customers with on-site displays and gives us the opportunity to engage more directly with the boating community.”

Approved Boats also operates from MDL’s Ocean Village Marina and is a regular exhibitor at the South Coast & Green Tech Boat Show (above).
O’Rourke recently told MIN that the latter show was ‘strong’, with Approved Boats securing several sales.
He believes that – overall – the market feels “stable” at this point in the year. “Enquiries are coming through consistently,” he said. “Trade between the UK and Europe remains strong, and current US tariffs don’t affect that. That said, we’re keeping a close eye on how global supply chains may shift.”
