Australian Superyacht Conference: new format and location for 2026
Superyacht Australia has confirmed further details of the Australian Superyacht Conference, which will return in February 2026 with a revised format and a new location in Sydney.
The event has traditionally been held on the Gold Coast in May, ahead of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, but will move to February and follow the inaugural Sydney Charter Show.
The Sydney Charter Show is scheduled for Sunday 22 and Monday 23 February 2026 at Jones Bay Superyacht Marina. It will be followed by the Australian Superyacht Conference on Tuesday 24 February. Organisers say the revised scheduling puts the two events within the same week to support industry participation.
The Sydney Charter Show is designed as a platform to present charter activity in Australia and the South Pacific, with the subsequent conference day structured to enable extended discussion of regulatory, operational, and market issues affecting the superyacht sector.

The 2026 programme is expected to include participants including captains, family office representatives, brokers, fleet managers and tourism bodies. Topics outlined for discussion include charter legislation, importation requirements, taxation, maritime labour, crew recruitment and training, flag registration, classification, global build data and vessel migration trends.
The schedule opens with welcome drinks on Monday 23 February at Jones Bay Superyacht Marina. The conference will take place on Tuesday 24 February, followed by post-event networking drinks at The Revy, Doltone House, Jones Bay Wharf.
Attendance is capped, with registration fees set at A$795+GST for members and A$995+GST for non-members.

The Sydney Charter Show and the Australian Superyacht Conference take place ahead of other major events on the national calendar, including SailGP in Sydney from 28 February to 1 March 2026 and the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Melbourne from 14 to 16 March 2026.
The Australian International Marine Export Group is the peak body for the marine export industry in Australia. Superyacht Australia represents the national superyacht sector and focuses on industry development and international engagement. Both organisations are involved in the delivery of the conference.
