Baltic Safety Products appoints UK and Ireland manager
David Brown will oversee Baltic’s UK and Ireland operations from the company’s Hamble base
Baltic Safety Products, a safety equipment manufacturer based in Sweden, has appointed David Brown as country manager for the UK and Ireland, based at the company’s office and service point in Hamble, on the south coast of England.
Brown joins the company after previous roles as sales manager at Harken UK and key account manager at Bainbridge International. He will oversee Baltic’s leisure and industrial business segments across the UK and Ireland.
“David’s previous roles as sales manager for Harken UK and prior to that as a key account manager at Bainbridge International give him a deep understanding of both technical products and strong partner relationships,” says Martin Netinder, CEO of Baltic Safety Products.
Brown’s career in the marine sector began through involvement in his family’s sail loft business in Poole, Dorset.
“I am excited for the opportunity with Baltic,” says Brown. “Baltic is a well-positioned and established brand here in the UK and Ireland, and I am very much looking forward to the continued opportunities, while continuing to meet the needs of our existing customer base supported by the service commitment of our UK team.”
Brown takes up the role with immediate effect and will work alongside Adrian Durrant, the company’s UK account manager, as well as teams in the UK and Sweden.
Baltic has manufactured lifejackets since 1977. The company has distribution in approximately 50 countries and is one of the largest firms in the European lifejacket market.
