boot Düsseldorf and the European Boating Industry have announced that the annual International Breakfast Meeting (IBM) is moving to a digital format once again, following the cancellation of boot Düsseldorf 2022 due to rising concerns regarding the omicron variant of Covid-19.

The seventh edition of the IBM event, which welcomes high-level panellists from business and politics, takes place online on Tuesday 25 January from 10am-11.30am.

This year’s meeting will again tackle crucial issues impacting the boating industry under the theme of ‘International trade opportunities and supply chain challenges’.

The main topics on the table will be the EU’s new trade policy and the supply chain challenges that are affecting the boating sector. This will be informed by presentations from the EU institutions, speakers from the boating sector and other sectors, such as automotive and logistics.

Organisers says the aim of the discussion at IBM 2022 is to help businesses navigate the EU’s future approach to trade, as well as discuss potential solutions to supply chain challenges and identify new opportunities for the boating sector over the coming years.

Experts in attendance include boot director Petros Michelidakis; boot and BVWW president Robert Marx; Cristina Rueda-Catry, cabinet expert, European Commission executive vice-president; and Jean-Pierre Goudant, president of the European Boating Industry.
