Running for over 50 years, Michelidakis explains why it is important to keep investing in boot for the sake of the visitors and exhibitors. “We are trying to fulfil the wishes of the exhibitors and the visitors so they feel like guests.”

He reveals: “You can be sure that next year at boot you will see a lot of new things, some nice rearrangements, and you can definitely expect more networking because every year we do our survey and our exhibitors tell us we need more networking opportunities, especially when the show is over to stay and to talk to exhibitors.

“For our visitors, we will create some hotspots, one of which will be our sailing centre, where we will have some really hot names from the sailing world at boot Düsseldorf telling exciting stories.”
