Founder podcast series launches in Palma and Dubai with Ben Taylor
Podcast producer Ben Taylor with Gabriella Richardson, founder of Yachting Ventures
Yachting Ventures has launched a new podcast, the Founder Podcast Series, in collaboration with podcast producer Ben Taylor. The new series focuses on the founders of leisure marine startups and examines how their companies are being developed.
Episodes are scheduled to be recorded at the Dubai International Boat Show from 8-12 April 2026 and the Palma International Boat Show from 29 April-2 May 2026. The recordings take place during a period of technological change, sustainability pressures and shifts in global markets within the marine sector, and Yachting Ventures says the podcast format is designed to document what founders are building and the rationale behind their approaches.
Each episode features a 20-30 minute conversation, combining personal stories with business insight. Yachting Ventures founder Gabriella Richardson explores founder motivation, mission and long-term vision, while Ben Taylor brings a B2B perspective on market positioning, product development and building scalable solutions.
Episodes are scheduled for release as a curated series after each show. The interviews will be distributed through Yachting Ventures and Ben Taylor’s channels. They will also be shared via Marine Industry News, reaching more than 50,000 followers collectively.
Yachting Ventures says the choice of Palma and Dubai reflects their growing roles within the marine sector, with Palma positioned as a Mediterranean centre for marine services, refit activity and innovation. Dubai, meanwhile, continues to develop its position as a gateway to the Middle East, Asia and international investment networks for companies expanding beyond Europe and North America.
Yachting Ventures says that recording at both events is intended to capture founders at different stages of company development across differing markets. The series is also designed to reflect common constraints related to scale, access to capital and customer adoption.
‘Two key moments in the industry calendar’
The series reflects broader changes in how industry audiences engage with media, with greater emphasis on practical context and founder perspective rather than promotional messaging. Leisure marine remains founder-led in many segments, and individual experience can influence product direction and company structure.
“There’s no shortage of startups in leisure marine, but founders rarely get the space to properly explain the thinking behind what they’re building, and why,” says Gabriella Richardson, founder of Yachting Ventures.
“This series is about giving them that space. By recording around Palma and Dubai, we’re capturing founders at two key moments in the industry calendar, and Ben’s B2B audience is exactly the right one for startups looking to raise their profile with partners, customers and investors.”
Taylor adds: “The current marine business landscape is changing and so presents a clear strategic opportunity for startups and scale-ups. Through this series, I’m particularly interested in exploring the strategies founders are using to secure market share, from displacing incumbent suppliers to validating new models with pilot programmes, but most of all hearing what problems can now be solved with innovative solutions.”
