Brabus Marine turns up the power with new Shadow 38 range
Brabus Marine is pushing deeper into the luxury performance boating space with the launch of its all-new Shadow 38 range, a next-generation platform developed in collaboration with Axopar Boats designed to combine supercar-inspired styling with high-speed capability on the water.
It’s calling the range a ‘bold new generation’ which it hopes will redefine the German luxury brand’s presence on the water. The range develops upon the long-standing collaboration between Axopar Boats and Brabus, building on shared experience and the success of previous models.
The range introduces two highlight models built on a 38-foot platform. While sharing the same foundation, both models deliver tailored driving experiences.
First, there’s the Shadow 850 XC Cross Cabin. This is said to embody the character of a true Gran Turismo of the seas, designed for effortless long-distance cruising with a focus on comfort and control. It’s powered by twin Mercury 425 V10 engines delivering a combined 850 horsepower and has a top speed of up to 55 knots, which the manufacturers say is ideally suited for extended journeys and high-speed cruising as it offers long-range capability, comfort and understated performance.
Shadow 1000 XC delivers high-speed, race-inspired performance
In contrast, the Shadow 1000 XC Cross Cabin stands as a bold performer described as ‘the ultimate expression of raw, race-inspired power, combined with the highest degree of bespoke onboard luxury’. It’s equipped with twin Mercury Racing 500R V8 engines delivering a combined 1,000 horsepower, and is engineered for immediate throttle response, extreme acceleration and uncompromising top speed. Reaching up to nearly 60 knots, it’s all about an adrenaline-driven experience on the water.
Brabus Marine says that beyond its striking appearance, the range is defined by intelligent functionality and a tech-forward development approach. Every feature is engineered to enhance usability, comfort and control, resulting in intuitive onboard movement, effortless handling and solutions that serve a clear purpose.
The range also introduces enhanced modular configurability, allowing owners to tailor their boat to their individual lifestyles and preferences. From unique layout options to design details and material selections, the possibilities are more extensive than ever before – a direct result of the intensified co-development between Brabus and Axopar.
The official world premiere of the full range – including the Brabus Shadow 1000 XC Cross Cabin and Brabus Shadow 850 XC Cross Cabin – will take place at Cannes Yachting Festival. The Shadow 38 will also be showcased at the Monaco Yacht Show.
