BWA Yachting wins Saudi contract for superyacht marina

BWA Yachting partners with Sindalah as the Red Sea’s first superyacht destination gears up for opening in 2024

Superyacht concierge and maritime agency services specialist BWA Yachting is establishing an office at the new Saudi Arabian luxury island development Sindalah — part of the Neom smart city megaproject.

Neom is a $500bn planned city in northwest Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea, which is under construction. Sindalah is set to be Neom’s first luxury island and yacht club destination and is due to open in early 2024. Including Sindalah, Neom will eventually include 39 islands with around 5,000 yachting berths.

Sindalah will also offer a nine-hole golf course, 469 hotel rooms and provide superyacht owners with a gateway to the Red Sea.

BWA Yachting‘s office at the Sindalah development will provide services for some of the world’s biggest and most expensive superyachts. BWA Yachting will assist with operations at Sindalah’s international superyacht marina, providing services to the island’s yachting clientele.

The office will be staffed by the BWA Yachting team to support captains, managers, and crews with anything they need to manage a superyacht, from customs and clearance procedures to provisioning, logistics, shipping, concierge and financial services.

Earlier this month (June 2023) IGY Marinas announced a partnership with Neom to develop and operate the Sindalah marina. Opening in early 2024, Sindalah’s marina will offer 86 berths for yachts up to 75 metres and additional serviced offshore buoys for superyachts up to 180 metres.

“Sindalah will redefine the luxury island experience and become the most sought-after yachting destination in the world, offering six months of winter sun and less than a day’s sail from the ports of the Mediterranean,” says Antoni Vives, chief urban development and islands officer at Neom. “Working with BWA Yachting will allow us to tap into their expertise and provide the unparalleled yachting ecosystem and elevated experience for which Sindalah will become synonymous. This partnership represents an important step as we invite the world to set sail for Sindalah.”

Paschalis Patsiokas, CEO at BWA Yachting, adds: “We are honoured and excited to be invited by Neom to establish our presence within this groundbreaking project. At BWA Yachting, we are committed to providing world-class services to superyachts visiting Sindalah and eagerly look forward to creating captivating Neom itineraries, delivering extraordinary experiences for our clients in this spectacular new destination.”
