C-Quip confirms new Italian distributor

Leading supplier of marine equipment, C-Quip, has confirmed a new distribution agreement with Italian-based Douglas Marine.

Douglas Marine was founded in 1976 as a manufacturer of quality nautical products. The company has more than 12 active patents with the vast majority of components made internally at their own factory in Milan.

A recent restructuring process has been undertaken under director Paolo Ramoino, delivering a 60 per cent increase in production for 2021.

Ramoino says, “We have quality products, a high brand reputation, an expert workforce, and we are now combining it with fresh energies and a modern view on the market. My goal is to leverage this heritage and the value of ‘Designed and Made in Italy’, with a network of committed distributors worldwide that partner with us for the long-term.”

“Douglas Marine is pleased to welcome C-Quip Ltd to our network of International Distributors,” adds Ramoino.

Douglas Marine says it was the first to introduce stainless steel into high-performance mooring shock absorbers, and the company continues to innovate with new materials and technology.

“At C-Quip, we pride ourselves on exclusively working with the finest manufacturers of stainless steel hardware. Douglas Marine offers a proven range of products, of which it is rightly proud. We are equally proud to be adding the brand to our product portfolio,” says Ian Cooke, managing director at C-Quip Ltd.

Established in 1987, C-Quip is a leading supplier of marine equipment to internationally recognised boat builders, boat yards, marinas, chandlery shops and riggers, with a focus on delivering exceptional quality stainless steel, lighting and marine fittings.
