Cornwall’s adventure charter firm selects Arksen Discovery 8
British adventure yacht builder Arksen is teaming up with luxury charter specialist One Atlantek in Cornwall. The coastal experience and private, bespoke boat charter company has selected an Arksen Discovery 8 to help deliver adventure-driven experiences at sea in the UK.
The One Atlantek Discovery 8 will be equipped with twin Yamaha 200hp engines, Garmin MFD screens and radar system. Guests can also enjoy YETI coolers and onboard sink in the wet bar, upgraded sound system, LED light bar on the roof, transom shower, colour selectable lighting throughout, plus a roof rack for carrying paddle boards and other adventure equipment.
The Arksen 8 has been selected for adventures throughout the stunning Cornish coastline and beyond, including the Isles of Scilly and its 140 islands. The first experience will be supporting the Cornwall Wildlife Trust with vital conservation projects and is already sold out.
Three other boating excursions are planned, though no further details have been released yet.
Customers will also be able to book the Arksen 8 for coasteering (a cross between rock pooling and an obstacle course) and surf adventures.
One Atlantek is also working closely with Cornwall Wildlife Trust to build completely environmentally minded, uique experiences. A number of ‘Citizen Science Activities’ will be delivered in St Austell Bay to support Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s ongoing marine conservation work, particularly across seagrass meadows and maerl beds, two of the most important and vulnerable habitats in the UK.

Co-owners and directors of One Atlantek, Emma and Tim Hogg, have been specialising in luxury private RIB charters and bespoke coastal experiences since 2022. Emma leads on strategic development, partnerships and brand, bringing extensive senior leadership experience from across the UK cultural sector. Tim has over 15 years’ experience in water safety and marine-based activities, and provides an operational lead, ensuring the highest standards of safety, performance and guest experience.

Future plans for One Atlantek are to further grow the charter business and range of Arksen vessels available, increasing its involvement in essential preservation activities.
