Destination Phuket for Thailand Charter Week

Ocean Emerald

The Tourism Authority of Thailand has come on board as a supporting sponsor of the first Thailand Charter Week, with the 41m Ocean Emerald, Demarest, Silverlining and Aveline among 100ft-plus boats set for Phuket Yacht Haven. This is said to be a huge boost for the inaugural six-day event, which will be held at Phuket Yacht Haven from November 16th-21st.

The Thailand Charter Week is Asia’s first international charter show for industry professionals and tour operators to meet local agencies and discover some of the charter yachts operating in Thailand and the rest of Southeast Asia.

Boats on show will include the 41.3m Ocean Emerald, designed by Lord Norman Foster (previously featured in the remake of Point Break), Demarest (32.2m) and Silverlining (31.6m), the biggest sailing yacht in the line-up, plus many more.

Matthew Na Nagara, Chairman of the Thai Yachting Business Association, the event organiser, says: “This event is designed to show the amazing appeal of Thailand’s yacht tourism industry and its spectacular coastlines, islands, beaches and marine life. We have a full calendar of events for the show, including some great trips into the beautiful areas surrounding Phuket, and are confident that this first edition will prove a success.”

The Thailand Charter Week will be followed by the Ocean Marina Pattaya Boat Show (November 21st-24th).
