Dufour Yachts at the South Coast Boat Show 17-19 May

The new South Coast Boat Show is an opportunity to view the Dufour 360, 382 and 412 Grand Large performance cruising yachts.  A must go event for the serious boat buyer, this all new Show takes place on 17-19 May in Ocean Village Marina. It’s an opportunity to view and compare over fifty new boats from 15 top brands, including Dufour Yachts.

The event is a new industry initiative created by the UK’s major brokers working together to create an easily accessible event for prospective boat owners. Ocean Village in Southampton is a prestigious location, with ample restaurants, parking and nearby rail and airport connections.

Dufour 360 Grand Large

Launched in 2018, the new 360 GL boasts Dufour’s latest evolutions to the hull and deck design, creating a boat that’s easy to sail, with ample living space and accommodation filled with natural light.

Packed with features you would expect on a much larger boat, this 10.7m yacht can sleep six comfortably in the two cabin model, and up to eight in the three cabin version.  With a well appointed L-shaped galley, there is plenty of practical stowage and cupboard space below decks too.

On deck you have double steering wheels and space for Dufour’s now legendary wet bar and grill, located on the bathing platform.  With a rig and deck layout similar to her larger sisters, Dufour have subtly modernized the 360’s coach roof and cockpit. Modern angled steering columns open up the cockpit space and recessed halyards and coamings create a sleek, smooth deck profile, for more comfortable crewing and relaxing.

Dufour 382 Grand Large

The Dufour 382 GL is sized right at the heart of the cruising market and has no less than six different galley and saloon layouts. This offers owners highly versatile choices for how their boat can used.  Whether it is for long-distance cruising as a couple, boat-sharing with friends or earning her keep as a charter boat, the optimal layouts have already been planned for you.

The 382 GL’s performance is driven from the high aspect rig and 58m2 of sail area, with a fully battened mainsail and self-tacking jib offered as standard, with the option of a 108% overlapping genoa for those who want additional performance.

Dufour have put considerable effort to make boat handling easy, especially when sailing short-handed or with less experienced crews. A unique feature across the entire range, is the low boom position at the mast. Set at around waist level it is easier to reach to drop and stow the sail without having to climb the mast. Plus, it has also helped to increase sail area in the lower section of the mainsail.

Dufour 412 Grand Large

The popular Dufour 412 GL’s modern lines, distinctive hull chines and a wide transom offers great handling, stability and reduces heeling moment. With a similar high aspect rig and low boom design of her sister yachts, owners can choose the self-tacking jib or larger genoa set up. The clean deck layout is set up to aid sailing short-handed and easier boat handling, which is particularly useful if your crew want to chill-out. The main winches and controls are handily positioned close to the helm. There are flexible options to locate the chart plotter and instruments around the cockpit to suit personal preferences. Twin wheels enhance the helm’s visibility and adjustable, foldaway foot supports make helming more comfortable.
